Rapper DaBaby was arrested on Thursday in Beverly Hills, with officials stating that he had carried a loaded gun into a high-end store on Rodeo Drive.
Store security spotted the weapon on DaBaby (Jonathan Kirk) as he and three other men entered a Moncler store. Employees made the call to 911 and the rapper was arrested around 4:45 pm as he returned to his vehicle. DaBaby was the only one arrested as the other men were let go.
Eventually, DaBaby was released from custody after posting a $35,000 bond.
DaBaby has had run in’s with the law, with past incidents including punching a concert-goer, legal issues with a promoter, and a heated incident with a hotel employee.
In a recent interview, DaBaby revealed that he only sees himself rapping for the next five years. He said:
“Five years, I’ma be retired in five years… “I won’t be rapping in five years,” he continued. “I won’t be rapping. I’ll be creating other superstars.”
He closed with: “Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment, five years, definitely gonna be like one of the hottest labels in the game.”
Via DaBaby’s IG story, prior to his arrest, he was seen getting a COVID-19 test as well as enjoying the day riding around Los Angeles. It’s also been known that DaBaby recently linked up with Lil Wayne and Diddy in Miami.
