It seems as though Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is seeking help for his psychological issues.
Recently, Ronnie was arrested on counts of domestic violence allegations. He has since been released on $100,000 bail and will not be facing felony charges.
Ronnie’s girlfriend Saffire Matos was the one who called the police for help following a heated argument between the couple that turned physical. Ronnie’s been continuously sharing different quotes in regards to mental health as well as messages about soulmates that Saffire was tagged in.
It is now confirmed that Ronnie is seeking medical help for psychological issues. His attorneys Scott E. Leemon and Leonard Levine released a statement on May 13 regarding his well-being.
“His only present goal is to address these issues professionally and make himself [a] better person and the best father he can be to his loving daughter.”
It should be noted that Ronnie was still on probation from his last domestic violence incident involving his ex-Jenn, back in 2019.
A spokesperson for the LA Attorney’s Office, Rob Wilcox revealed that Ronnie’s probation violation hearing will be held on June 29th. Criminal charges will not be filed. Leemon said:
“We will review the alleged violation of probation claim and deal with it accordingly.”
Fans have been pushing for Ronnie to get help, as well as his termination with the program, so this is certainly a step in the right direction. Jersey Shore recently released a teaser for the upcoming season and fans were quick to point out that Ronnie was absent from the trailer. Although it’s highly unlikely they cut out all of his screen time, it wouldn’t be surprising if they limited his involvement.
The new season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation airs on June 3, 2021
