In late April, Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz-Margo was taken into custody by the LAPD on charges of intimate partner violence with injury.
Ronnie’s girlfriend Saffire Matos would take to her social media with the following post:
“Ronnie and I are fine there is a lot of misleading information floating around out there,” Saffire stated. “With anybody who reached out with concern I appreciate it with all my heart, but everything that’s being portrayed out there are not facts. I don’t think it’s fair that people are using false accusations to gain attention.”
“Please leave Ron and I alone. You don’t know what someone is going through at the end of the day. Don’t believe everything you hear or read online. I’d appreciate privacy please. Thanks for all your support.”
Now…Ronnie has spoken out about the matter. On April 26th, Ronnie took to his Instagram story to talk about the whole situation.
“I take all experiences as lessons,” he wrote. “You learn who really cares about you when your down and out and than you see who doesn’t [sic]! But I guess they call it the weeding process.”
Ronnie would also thank his real friends and the ones who didn’t leave his side in the matter.
Ronnie’s attorney had the following to say in regards to the incident:
“We have just learned of the new allegations against Ronnie and need some additional time to further investigate. As such, we will not be making any other statements at this time.”
